We train for Flyball by using positive reinforcement techniques, the more fun the dogs have the easier and faster they will learn. Flyball is a very social sport for both dogs and their owners.

• Southern Cross Flyball Club trains on Thursday nights from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. We train at Fairfield Showground (Smithfield Road, PRAIRIEWOOD)
• Dogs must be at least 9 months old for their own safety. For dogs under 9 months of age no jumping is allowed, but they are still able to participate in some basics.
• Minimal obedience training is required.
• NO bitches in season are allowed on the grounds.
• On joining your dogs registration and vaccination papers must be sighted.
• Handlers must be 12 years of age or over, and those under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
• A good length lead and soft collar is required (NO check chains allowed whilst training). Please bring a water bottle and bowl. Crates are preferred if possible. Food treats or tug-toys are used as positive reinforcement rewards.
